Where this piece keeps moving.
Strong editorial pages should not stop at reading. They should carry people into resource material, collective discussion, and public-facing activity.
Section 1
What the fellowship supports
The fellowship is framed as an editorial and community mechanism for supporting emerging writers, longer-form thinking, and public-facing STS work.
Section 2
Editorial continuity
Rather than a one-off announcement, the entry turns the fellowship into a repeatable part of the network's publication pipeline.
Section 3
Network memory
Keeping the fellowship visible helps future cohorts understand how the publication layer is supported.

Deadline 15 April 2024
Many early career researchers (ECRs) in STS located in India find the process of framing research, writing it cohesively, and making it publication-ready challenging. The Fellowship aims to assist individuals engaged in different stages of writing texts that draw on the social studies of science and technology. STS-IN will host a series of workshops and facilitate mentoring by experienced scholars in the field towards the completion of the Fellows’ writing.
The Fellowship is designed to support several aspects of the writing process, including the following:
i) Clarity in conceptual framing;
ii) Development of arguments and claims;
iii) Finalizing a publishable manuscript.
The desired output may be a journal article, a monograph, a dissertation chapter, or another text that meets the essential conditions of being intellectually oriented and long-form.
The Fellowship involves two main elements: a series of online workshops on common elements of producing academic work in STS, and one-to-one mentorship by a senior scholar. These will take place between May and November, 2024.
